چکیده

Today, the majority of commercial electrified vehicles use Interior Permanent Magnet Motors (IPMSMs) for propulsion. An IPMSM can deliver high starting torque and efficiency in low- medium-speed operation, which makes it attractive propulsion applications. However, IPMSMs generally utilize rare-earth permanent magnets there are growing concerns about price volatility supply chain these materials. Switched Reluctance (SRMs) potentially replace various applications including SRM has a simple low-cost construction, provide reliable operation at high-speed high-temperature conditions. Compared to IPMSMs, SRMs radiate considerably higher acoustic noise, have historically hindered their widespread acceptance. Various approaches mitigate noise vibration source level already been explored literarture by improving electromagnetic design current control. This paper explores multiple mitigation methods that be applied transmission stage. First, comparison between Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) is discussed, then used ICEs presented applicability SRMs.

Vibration Modes and Acoustic Noise in a Four-Phase Switched Reluctance Motor

(1996) Vibration modes and acoustic noise in a four-phase switched reluctance motor. Abstruct-Acoustic noise in the switched reluctance motor (SRM) is caused primarily by the deformation of the stator lamination stack. Acoustic noise is most severe when the periodic excitation of the SRM phases excites a natural vibration mode of the stack. The natural vibration modes and frequencies of a four-...

Comparative study of switching controls in vibration and acoustic noise reductions for switched reluctance motor

A comparative study of vibration and acoustic noise reductions via electronic switching controls for switched reluctance motor (SRM) is presented. First, studies concerning the acoustic noise and vibration sources, their effects and the existing mitigation approaches are given. Then five switching control approaches, which belong to the magnetic and electronic remedies, are proposed and applied...

An Intelligent Sensor Array Distributed System for Vibration Analysis and Acoustic Noise Characterization of a Linear Switched Reluctance Actuator

This paper proposes a distributed system for analysis and monitoring (DSAM) of vibrations and acoustic noise, which consists of an array of intelligent modules, sensor modules, communication bus and a host PC acting as data center. The main advantages of the DSAM are its modularity, scalability, and flexibility for use of different type of sensors/transducers, with analog or digital outputs, an...
